The 2020 MLB draft is nearly here & it's time to start seeing never before seen baseball parks on Digitalballparks! We will spend a bit of time this month in North Carolina looking at the Minor League and NCAA Division I programs around the triad area (Chappel Hill-Raleigh-Durham) starting with Raleigh's Doak Field... home of the NC STATE WOLFPACK (Atlantic Coast Conference). This baseball program led to a 1st round draft pick last season (Will Wilson) & is home to such famed players as MLB Analyst & 18 yr MLB career of Dan Plesac & the 2019 WS Champion Trea Turner of the Washington Nationals.
--- Covid Update ---
So far players and owners have talked openly about health protocols to bring baseball back in front of empty audiences. There is talk for as few as 60 games to be played before an extended playoff involving 14 or 15 teams. This would be bad news for the 15 cities that don't make the playoffs as half the league would could see just 60 games over the course of the entire season. It is hard to believe that anything under 100 total games would even qualify as an actual full season. Expect the negotiations between players and owners to border on hostile. Some think this season won't happen at all. With bizarre rules taking place such as putting runners on base to start extra innings, a season without baseball may be better than something that far from the normal.

Major League Baseball CORONAVIRUS UPDATE : Major League owners agreed to a plan to open baseball up to a 60 to 82 game season beginning around the 4th of July with some very bizarre rules that will scare many fans away from our national pastime. Players are expected to balk at the owners proposal for salary cuts and caps so don't get your hopes up for this season to actually happen.
