By the end of the season, Major League Baseball and the new Angels realized that there was no way that they could continue in this Triple-A ballpark... that wasn't expandable and couldn't have the fences pushed out, because the ballpark was bounded on every side by local residental streets and housing. The Angels struck a deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers who had just moved into their new "Chavez Ravine", soon to be re-named Dodger Stadium.
