The Southern League has been around since 1921 when it was first called the "South Atlantic League". This SAL is not  in any way related to today's South Atlantic League, as this original SAL became known as the Double-A Southern League in 1964. The Southern League has featured hundreds of future MLB All-Stars as well as future Hall of Famers, with teams & stadiums throughout the Southeastern USA
