The Southeastern League was a short lived league based out of the the Gulf Coast
area of the United States. The league only lasted 2 years from 2002-2003 featuring many of the teams from the ill fated All-American League which only lasted for one season. When the Southeastern League folded, its best franchises joined the Texas-Louisiana League which would morph yet again to the Central League. The Central League would then disband and the best of those teams became the American Association. Thus… the very successful American Association can trace its origins all the way back to the little Southeastern League and All-American League. |
