Midwest League

(Full Season Single-A) History of Baseball Parks and Midwest League Teams and their Baseball Stadiums.

The Midwest League is the Single-A home to the baseball stadiums of America’s Heartland. The league began in 1947 as the Illinois State League. The name was changed to the Mississippi Ohio Valley League in 1949 and finally to the Midwest League in 1956 which it remains today. Teams come from Iowa, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois & Ohio and includes former members of the defunct Three-I League (Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League)
