North Central League
Independent / Non Affiliated |
The North Central League began as an independent league during the indy boom that
began in 1995, when many new ventures tried to capitalize on the beautiful ballparks still existing in the Northwoods region. The North Central League went further north than most leagues, covering a good deal of Saskatchewan. Like almost all independent leagues, the North Central League would fail miserably. The NCL wouldn’t last through its second season, after moving most of teams out of Canada and into Minnesota and Illinois. Except for Brainerd, none of the teams in the league in 1994 existed in 1995 and vice versa. |
