Mid-America League
Independent |
When the Independent baseball boom really took off in 1995, the Mid-America League
was one of the first on board. Based solely in Indiana, the Mid-America League featured 4 teams in Anderson, Lafayette, East Chicago and Merrillville. The ballparks in East Chicago and Lafayette were absolute classics… vintage ballparks of yesteryear in beautiful condition. Merrillville meanwhile may have been one of the worst ever to be called a professional park. The “M-AL” played for only one season, but eventually turned into the Heartland League which was eventually absorbed by the Frontier League |
