Kitty League Kentucky Illinois Tennessee League – Class D |
Very few Minor League systems have ever carried such nostalgia as the former Class
D Kitty League. This league consisted of ballparks from Kentucky, Illinois and
Tennessee (which became known as the KIT League and finally the Kitty League).
The league went through 6 incarnations… 1903-1906, 1910-1914, 1916, 1922-1924,
1935-1942 and finally 1946-1955 (all Class D). Sadly there are only 3 ballparks
still standing from this league and these are them. We are seeking photographs
of the grandstands of all of these old ballparks, so please let us know. |
