There are many classic but forgotten Minor League Ballparks in the upper midwest,
in good quality markets that sat abandoned for many years. In the zeal to
build the latest and greatest new stadium in some new up and coming location…
most of these classic vintage stadiums were been left behind. That was until
the Northwoods League came to be. They have not only taken over all of these great
historic ballparks (such as Eau Claire where Hank Aaron played Minor League
ball), but they have absolutely thrived in them. It may well be one of the great
success stories of American (and Canadian) baseball. Now with 16 teams and
bursting at the seams, many Single-A teams now wish they had the draw of this Collegiate
Summer League at the gate!. |
