The Pecos League began in 2011, playing in some of the old independent, amateur and Minor League baseball parks of New Mexico and Western Texas. Most franchises came over from the recent demise of the independent Continental League. The Pecos League seemed on the verge of falling in either direction with a constant turnover of franchises … there one season and gone the next. The delicate dance of the Pecos League however has with every turn, managed to get just a little more footing on solid ground and get ever closer to stability. It began with 8 franchises in 2011 and swelled to 12 in 2015 … back down to 10 teams on its roster going into 2016, before fnally expanding into Arizona and Kansas and in 2017 … a major expansion into California settling in at 12 teams. The dance continues but we think the Pecos League has found real ground to build on now… and wouldn’t be surprised if we look back on the Pecos League in 10 years and think of it as the “Frontier League” of the west. Hopefully the Pecos could take over some of the of the great Golden League and United League stadiums one day that have been forgotten by the rest of professional baseball.

Baseball Stadiums used by the Pecos League for “Alternative Neutral Sites”
The Pecos League utilizes many “Alternative locations” as “one-off” or “single series” sites. Sometimes it is in order to test a possible new market. Other times it is because their baseball stadium isn’t available due to scheduling conflicts or inavailbility of all or part of the complex. These are other known locations where Pecos Games have occurred (NOT INCLUDING stadiums that have been used as a home field on a semi-regular basis as they are already listed above).
