Carolina League

Minor League Teams and Single A Baseball Stadium Photo Gallery – Carolina League Baseball Parks

The Carolina League was born after the war in 1945 and has been one of the key Single-A organizations for Minor League baseball ever since. Originally based out of North and South Carolina as well as Virginia, the Carolina League has since expanded to Maryland and Delaware. The Carolina League is an “Advanced” Single-A organzation… the highest rung of Single-A ball before making the big jump to Double-A. In 2017, Single-A realigment added two clubs to the Carolina League while subtracting two from the California League. Incoming teams included Buies Creek which play in a collegiate ballpark at Campbell University before moving officially to Fayetteville in 2019 and a return to Historic Grainger Stadium in Kinston NC.
